It draws together the most important parts of seminal works of political thought such as Hobbes' "Leviathan," Locke's "Treatises," Rousseau's "The Social Contract," and Mill's "On Liberty," together with substantial extracts from Machievelli's "The Prince" and Marx's "Capital."
