Autor

Since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, Kadeena has often been told what she can't do whilst showing what she can do. She wrote this book to highlight that challenges are not always life-defining and to celebrate that success can be found in many forms. She wanted to highlight the importance of a strong support network and shine a light on invisible disabilities. She believes that the first step to creating a more open and accepting society is a conversation, and by sharing her story, she hopes to inform and inspire others.

A note from Jaleel: Becoming Disabled at the start of my adulthood was a real challenge to deal with physically and mentally, but it is something that has shown me how to persevere in other aspects of my life and how I can still achieve my goals in different ways - so this book really resonated with me. I believe other children will benefit from seeing not just disability represented in this book, but one that is not so visible to the eye.
